New Delhi, Jul 20: An ASSOCHAM study projected earnings of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to go up nearly 200 per cent to a whopping Rs 2,100 crore by 2011, with the revenue streams being generated by traffic of the order of Rs 700 crore and additional incomes being garnered by letting out space for advertising, ATMs, and restaurants.

  3. In May 2007 I read in a newspaper that a court had awarded a land loser 40 lakhs in place of what he got as a compensation of ~ rs. 2 lakh. Do you have any info about it? I forgot which newspaper it was, though I usually read TOI & ET. I mentioned about this in a comment at this page

    "I read in a newspaper last week that a person was given less then Rs 2 lakh compensation by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on aquiring his land for Delhi Metro Rail project. He went to the court and after correct assessment the compensation was decided more than Rs. 40 lakh by the court!!! "
