In MCD-Metro war, casualty is 75 acres of prime Delhi land

As for the builders, they are caught in between. “We have submitted all our plans for approval but due to absence of clarity between DMRC and MCD, we are all stuck,” says an MGF spokesperson not wishing to be named.....
The MCD disagreed. At a meeting in January 2007, it rejected Uppal’s request saying the auction itself violated the terms on which land was allotted to DMRC. All other plans are being similarly rejected. For Parsvnath Builders, which bought seven plots for commercial development — it also has the contract for the Games village and the Akshardham Metro station — this has been a big blow. “All our plans for Delhi are on hold,” says a company official. “It all depends now on what happens to the MCD-DMRC battle.”

  1. Regarding the earlier comment on Chattarpur Metro station I was conscious also to Know about it and I have been caught some details i.e AS Metro had permission from Courts and Different authorites for this corridoor to Gurgaon and Metro in the name of these permission has already accqired much more Land ,than granted to them, till date and now this Chattarpur Station issue is Blowing up the Land Bank Mafia of Metro. As I have learnt these land owners have been asking Metro to accquire land for Station next door to their land which is vacant & is in possesion of metro but till date they have shown it on temprary basis ,important to point out that this patch has v.less tree to be cut i.e no. 227 how ever the land asked by metro has 875 trees to be cut ( some body come should come forwad to help these helpless trees) and a big controversial land for Electric Sub Station, Its again important to state that I have findings that Metro has already accuired land for this Substation else where & developed Big Depot there and now by showing permission to acquire land which already they have acquired are trying to accuire more. Where as the next door land is available by Govt. bodies yet. In the name of Public intrest trying to catch hold of maximum land they can, as next door Govt.land is available for them. Both are trying to get Land as there would never again another Chattarpur Station/ Andheria More.Metro is my Dream also but injustice should not be done to poor citizens, when Govt.could offer its Land for the said Chattarpur Station.

SOME NGO/ News Editor Should High Light and show the Delhi, the injustice been done to the Private Land Owners. Why is this injustice ? . I a common man while passing through Andhari Mode to wards Gurgaon can see plantie land available both sides and a patch left out without Sky Track of DMRC and on detailed surch I found out that this is the land DMRC is trying to acquire for Chatharpur Station.
